Biography – Luis Guillermo González
Luis Guillermo González has been influenced from an early age by an alternative imaginary, music and hidden readings, which now manifests mainly in painting and graphics, where both are often combined and complemented through a language that expresses a deep spirituality, that evokes the experience of internal trips that transcend the borders of the cultural and the physical. González’s most recent artworks can be viewed at an art exhibition at La Fe Hotel and Arts from April until the end of July, 2018.

It shows an inclination for materials such as acrylic, pigmented inks, solid paints, oils and works on all types of substrates from cotton canvases, hemp or experimentation with papers, to wood and ceramics. Various media act as a basis for the creation of dream characters belonging to an alternate reality, in
which ancestral beliefs and traditions are modernized with current colors and vivacity. His works reveal prehispanic elements such as nahualism, shamanism, magic and witchcraft.
